Happy One Month Anniversary! Oh Wait...Not You...

This past weekend, I celebrated one of the best one month anniversaries ever....One month of being in England!!  I really can't believe that a whole month has already flown by.  I wish time would just stop for a bit and let me make this trip last as long as I possibly can.
Maybe if I just hide out here, they will let me stay :)
To celebrate our first month of being here, we decided to take another trip to London.  There is just so much to do and see that you definitely can't do it in a day.  I'm sure we are still going to take a few trips back there.  It is such an amazing place.  And this time Ed, Lilidh, and Lilidh's lovely boyfriend Seb came with us so it was really great to have people from our hall along for all the fun.

Our first stop on this trip was to St. Paul's Cathedral.  I think we intended on just looking around for about an hour or so, but we ended up spending the entire morning there.  Again, we weren't allowed to take pictures inside so it's just something you will have to take my word about...it is absolutely stunning.  It is one of those places that you walk into and it takes your breath away.
St. Paul's Cathedral from the outside
Personally, walking around inside the cathedral really hit home to me about what an awesome God we have.  St Paul's Cathedral is said to be "a lasting monument to the glory of God and a symbol of the hope, resilience, and strength of the city of London" and it proved to fall nothing short of just that.
My favorite picture of the day
As if being inside the cathedral wasn't enough, we discovered that we could actually climb up into the dome and then all the way to the top and outside to get some of the most amazing views of London.  It was such a beautiful sunny day and you could see pretty much the entire city.  I think it was at that moment that I truly fell in love with this city.
Beautiful London on a beautiful day :)
After our lunch in the park outside of the cathedral (which to me, was an absolute nightmare because of the disgusting amount of pigeons that were around), we made our way over to the London Natural History Museum.  At one of his five or six stops for a snack that day, Ed got some frozen yogurt...that he decided to eat with chopsticks...Good idea until it started melting...
Somehow Stacey captured this ridiculous act

The museum was lots of fun but we were all so exhausted at this point, that we sat down like old people whenever possible.  Ed filled our brains with so many random facts about dinosaurs and all sorts of different things, that I am still wondering where he stores them all!

It was so beautiful...and completely free!
Our day ended with a trip to Harrod's and dinner in Covent Garden again.  Harrod's was quite the experience. It was a department store filled with everything that you could ever possibly want, but could never afford.  Stacey and I enjoyed going through the "fine jewelry" department were each piece of bling had it's own glass case.  It was uh-maze-ing.
The escalator inside Harrod's...
We couldn't take pictures of the actual stuff, that's just not classy haha
So needless to say, we celebrated our first month in style.  I still can't even believe this is real.  I think maybe somebody should pinch me soon to make sure it's not a dream :)
